General

How long does it take for a set of cake toppers to be made?
An average custom made couple takes me approx 25 hours to make. Planes, cars & boats take me a full week to complete.

What are your cake toppers made from?
I make my cake toppers using an Australian made polymer clay that is baked and individually hand painted.

What is polymer clay?
Polymer clay is a sort of soft plastic putty that becomes hard like clay when baked. Baked polymer clay is very hard and durable, however thin strands (like the hair on the cake toppers) can be brittle so they need to be handled with care.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes I do but you will need to add $30 to your order to cover extra delivery costs. All prices are in Australian dollars.

How big are the cake toppers?
They are approx. 15-16 cm tall, they fit comfortably on a 15cm round cake tier. You will need to email me to get dimensions of cars, 4WD's, boats & planes as some are quite large & may not fit on your intended cake.

How heavy are the cake toppers?
The weight varys greatly depending whether its a car, a boat or just a couple. They start at around 200 grams & go up in weight depending on how full the brides dress is ect. If you need to know how much your topper will weigh I can give you an approximate estimate if you let me know what it is you are interested in.

How long will my cake toppers last?
If the cake topper is looked after properly and not dropped or broken, they should last a life time.

Do you have a showroom I can visit?
Unfortunately, I do not have a showroom as I work out of home and do not have extra cake toppers laying around. However, you can see some of my previous work in the Gallery.

My cake lady said that they have to be made on skewers, can you do this?
No problem, I can attach them to wooden skewers upon request.

I live in a humid area, are they affected by humidity?
No they are waterproof & will not be affected by humidity.

Can they be refrigerated?
Unlike cake toppers that are made from sugar, polymer clay is fine to refrigerate.

How much notice do you need?
I am usually booked out 2 months in advance. It is a good idea to book with me as soon as possible. I do not need an order at the time of making a booking. I will let you know when I need all of the information from you.

Do you send free samples of your wedding favours?
No, sorry, I don't. All samples must be paid for prior to shipping. I am happy to make them and photograph them at no cost.

Ordering & Payment

I want to order a Custom made cake topper, what do I do now?
Send me an email to check wedding date availability. I need to know your name & wedding date & what month you would prefer to have your topper made. It is a good idea to have your topper made in a month that gives you enough time to work out all of your wedding details.

How do I send the photos & forms to you
They can be emailed or posted to me. Fax is available for forms only as faxed photos are not very clear. Please email or text my mobile if you would like my postal address

What sort of payments do you accept?
I accept, money order, PAYPAL, cash and Bank deposit. Please email me for details.

Is a deposit neccessary?
A $100 deposit is required for all orders, both cake toppers and favours.

When is full payment due?
Full payment is required before your order. This is generally done after all final approvals have been done.

Can I cancel my order? What's the cancelation policy?
Yes you can.
If I receive 60 days notice or more on a cancellation your deposit will be refunded in full. If less than 60 days notice your deposit will be refunded when & if the dates set aside for you are re-booked by someone else.

Do you have an online store I can order my cake toppers through?
As of the moment, I do not have an online store, and as such all orders must be placed by fax or email (preferred).

Delivery

How do you pack the toppers for delivery?
I send the cake toppers individually wrapped in bubble-wrap in a small Australia Post parcel box filled with packing foam beads.

How do you pack chocolates for delivery?
Wedding favours containing chocolates will be packed in insulated bags that will protect the chocolates and stop them from melting.

What delivery options do you have?
Express post and courier are available. I deliver to all of Australia. I do not send anything by regular mail as there is no way to track the parcel.

My cake topper got damaged in delivery. What can I do?
If your cake topper arrives damaged you have 3 choices.
  1. I will give you a full refund upon return of the cake topper.
  2. The topper can be sent back to me for repair if I think it is repairable. Postage costs to send the topper back will be reimbursed.
  3. I can make you another topper.

How long will it take to receive my cake topper once finished?
Between 1-5 days

Cake Topper Care

How do I store my cake topper?
It is best to store the cake topper in a safe place where it can't be knocked over or dropped, such as a display cabinet.

What do I do if I have accidently broken my cake topper?
Any minor breaks can be fixed with a little gel type super glue (such as Selleys). In the case of a major breaks, the cake topper can be sent back to me for replacement or repair.

How do I clean my cake topper?
Your cake topper is fine to be wiped with a wet cloth, however avoid washing the painted faces, or any other surfaces that conatain glitter or beading, as water may damage them.
